DJ deserves call up
Preston North End midfielder Daniel Johnson is set to make a long-delayed international bow for Jamaica next month.
Johnson has been named in the Reggae Boyz squad for two friendlies against Saudi Arabia in Riyadh on November 14 and 17.
For him to have got to the age of 28, played Championship football since 2015, yet not been recognised at international level, is quite a surprise.
Although he has been on Jamaica’s radar for a while, the standard of travel for him to get to international has been an issue.

A minute’s silence for a football legend
There will be a minute’s silence ahead of today’s game in memory of Nobby Stiles.
The England World Cup winner and former PNE boss sadly passed away on Friday and his former side will also be wearing black arm bands in his memory.
Plenty to think about...
There will lots for Alex Neil to ponder as he selects his side today, on top of the run of fixtures and naming an unchanged team three games in a row, the Scot revealed that six players were ill.
Patrick Bauer was taken off at half time after being sick and the whole team looked leggy against Millwall.
It might well be a fairly new look side today.
PNE Starting XI: Rudd, Fisher, Bauer, Storey, Hughes, Browne, Gallagher, Barkhuizen, Johnson, Harrop, Stockley.
PNE Subs: Subs: Ripley, Rafferty, Ledson, Potts, Sinclair, Maguire, Riis.
There are five changes for PNE this afternoon, Fisher, Gallagher, Harrop, Stockley and Barkhuizen come in for Rafferty, Ledson, Potts, Sinclair and Riis.
How the visitors line up...
From first team coach to captain
Paul Gallagher has been restored to the PNE line up today, fresh from spending the last two games filling in for Frankie McAvoy on the first team coaching staff.
There won’t have been many occasions where a first team coach has stepped straight into the starting line up…
Teams are out
Both sides are out onto the pitch for this afternoon’s game, moments away from kick off now and the minute’s silence for football legend Nobby Stiles.
