Dave Seddon runs the rule over the performances at Molineux on Saturday.
Chris Maxwell 7
Unlucky with the third goal after making a good save from the initial shot. Despite the scoreline was not overly tested with shots.
Darnell Fisher 7
Returned from suspension and was steady enough at right-back. Linked well with Barkhuizen and got forward well.
Paul Huntington 7
For the first half-hour hardly gave the Wolves strikers a sniff. Ended up playing as an extra forward as PNE searched for an equaliser.
Ben Davies 7
Produced a superb sliding tackle in the box to take the ball off Jota at 1-0. Looking really settled at the back.
Josh Earl 7
Caught out a little bit early in the move for the first goal but stuck to his task well enough as plenty of play came down his side of the pitch.
Ben Pearson 8
In the thick of the action all afternoon, kept PNE ticking over and even managed to avoid a booking.
Daniel Johnson 7
Had Preston’s two best chances as they bossed the first half, forcing a save out of Ruddy and putting the other over the bar.
Tom Barkhuizen 8
Busy down the North End right, set up DJ in the first half for a good chance. It was his cross which Coady scored the own goal from.
Alan Browne 7
Red card spoilt his afternoon late on. Usual hard-running shift from the Irishman who set up Hugill’s goal.
Josh Harrop 6
Conceded the penalty and while it was a touch harsh, his mistake let Doherty in. Had a lot to defensively which did not suit him on the day.
Jordan Hugill 8
Scored for the third game running to take his season’s tally to seven. Used his strength well up front and was busy throughout.
Stephy Mavididi 7
Replaced Harrop at 2-0 and joined Hugill up front in a 4-4-2 system. Made a decent impact, probably his best show in a Preston shirt.
