Preston North End's Jordan Hugill battles for possession with Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon

Dave Seddon gives his verdict on the PNE team

Chris Maxwell 7

Made the mistake for Fulham’s late equaliser but his first-half save from Norwood should not be forgotten either.

Calum Woods 7

Decent enough display in only his second start of the season. Perhaps harshly done by with the penalty?

Paul Huntington 8

Usual captain’s innings at the back from the Cumbrian Cannavaro, strong in the air and marshalled the defence well.

Ben Davies 7

Gaining Championship experience with every game. Made some timely interceptions to keep Fulham at bay in the second half.

Josh Earl 8

Strong performane at left-back, grew into the game attacking-wise in the second half with some strong runs forward.

Ben Pearson 8

A welcome return for the midfielder who got through the first hour before being subbed. Even avoided a yellow card!

DANIEL Johnson 7

Much of PNE’s forward play went through DJ at some point. Walked a tightrope with the ref after a yellow card for time-wasting.

Tom Barkhuizen 7

Caused Fulham problems with his pace, had a major role in North End’s second goal – his shot spinning in off Maguire.

Alan Browne 8

All-action display in the No.10 role for Browne, similar to that he put in at Hull. One blot on the copybook was a missed one-on-one.

Sean Maguire 7

Lasted less than half an hour but created the first goal and claimed the second. Going to be a big miss if he has damaged his hamstring.

Jordan Hugill 8

Powerful display in the lone striker’s role, gave every last drop of effort in closing-down and holding the ball up. Calm finish for the goal.

Josh Harrop 6

Had two great chances at 2-0 to wrap the game up but needed to show more composure in front of goal.

John Welsh 7

Replaced the tiring Pearson and had a bust shift in midfield as Fulham began to put the pressure on.

Callum Robinson 6

A 71st minute sub for Barkhuizen, he didn’t get many opportunities to push forward with Fulham on the front foot.

Marnick Vermijl, Andy Boyle, Stephy Mavididi, Mathew Hudson.
