Mavididi made four starts and seven substitute appearances for North End when on loan from Arsenal in 2017.

It is fair to say he didn't break any pots in that loan spell, with the season-long loan cut short part-way through to allow him to go on loan at Charlton in January 2018.

The Gunners sold him to Juventus in August 2018, Mavididi having failed to make a first-team appearance.

He initially played for Juventus' Under-23s side but broke into the Italian giants' first-team squad and made his debut in April 2019.

Mavididi spent this season on loan with French side Dijon before the campaign was curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic in March

He scored five times in Ligue 1 for Dijon, making 24 appearances.

That form attracted the attention of Montpellier who had paid 6.3m euros to Juventus to secure Mavididi's services.
