Preston North End secured an impressive 2-0 win at Stoke City on Wednesday night, and they are looking for another vital win on their own patch.

Millwall had been in magnificent form upon the arrival of manager Gary Rowett, yet have dropped off slightly in recent weeks.

The Lions did manage to gain a point in their clash with high-flying Fulham in midweek though, highlighting the South London side as dangerous opponents.

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton thinks that it will be a tricky game for Preston, yet he is still backing a home win.

Speaking in his weekly column, he said: "Preston are proving a few wrong by getting on a good run again and getting back into the thick of the promotion battle. Millwall have had a tough run of games, and it doesn't get much trickier than a trip to Deepdale. It will be a battle, but Preston will prevail.

"Prutton predicts: 2-1."

Former Liverpool man Phil Thompson also made a prediction in the column, and he is also backing a Preston win.

He said: "I think Preston are playing superbly at the minute. They would give anyone a game the way they have been performing. 2-0."

Elsewhere, Prutton is backing Bristol City to gain a point against Leeds United at Elland Road, predicting a 1-1 draw.

He also backs West Bromwich Albion to beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 and Derby County to beat Huddersfield Town 3-1.
