Hughes volleys at goal

Hughes gets onto a loose ball from a van den Berg long throw but his acrobatic volley is too close to Benda.

Emil Riis takes aim from a tight angle and forces a decent save from Benda.

Maguire shows fine footwork to get into the area, then checks back on his left but his shot is curling away from the far post.

Big chance for Riis

Riis is released on th counter attack by Maguire and has time to size up the keeper but Benda comes out on top.

Half Time: PNE 2-1 Swansea City

PNE take the lead into the break as Emil Riis struck late into the half.

Swansea took the lead through Piroe, being played in behind from the edge of the box to slot past Iversen.

North End replied almost immediately, van den Berg finding the bottom corner.

Just second before the end of the first half Riis put PNE into the lead, collecting the ball and smashing it into the net.

The Swansea keeper rushes out and Riis beats him to it, the Dane is brought down and Benda receives only a yellow.

Ben Whiteman bends the free kick into the bottom corner!

Ledson is booked for a foul on Laird.
