Reading could have had two goals in recent minutes but for some excellent saves from Daniel Iversen from close range.

The Dane has made at least three saves today from less than two yards but somehow Reading only remain two goals up.

Half Time: PNE 0-2 Reading

North End go into the break two goals down as a double from Lucas Joao gives Reading a strong lead.

They opened the scoring the first few minutes of the game, Joao turning the ball home despite multiple saves from Daniel Iversen.

The Portuguese striker doubled his tally later on in the half, beating Patrick Bauer all ends up before stirking into the top corner.

PNE had the chance to get a goal back just before half time but Emil Riis blazed over from close reange despite having all the time in the world and support from Alan Browne.

There will be two more minutes added onto the end of the first half.

Scott Sinclair presses the ball high up the pitch, wins the ball for Emil Riis who has time at the corner of the six yard and he blast it over.

Alan Browne was alongside him too but was ignored.
