Joe Rafferty and Patrick Bauer were the two players from last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Norwich to retain their places.

Paul Gallagher came in to skipper the side, with Tom Bayliss, Jayden Stockley, Josh Harrop and Billy Bodin among those to start.

Stockley was available for selection having had to pull out of the squad before the Norwich game to self-isolate while a family member waited for the result of a Covid-19 test.

Teenage midfielder Adam O'Reilly got a place on the bench which was in the main loaded with first-team regulars included Ben Pearson, Ben Davies and Scott Sinclair.

Paul Huntington was missing from the squad because of a one-match suspension for two yellow cards in the earlier rounds of the competition.
