Preston North End goalkeeper Jamie Jones has joined Rochdale on loan for the rest of the season.
Jones, 26, only returned to Deepdale this week after a month’s stay at Coventry City but has been loaned out again with Sam Johnstone and Thorsten Stuckmann above him in the pecking order.
He joined the Lilywhites on a Bosman from Leyton Orient in June and played the first 20 games of the season.
But he was dropped for the visit to Bristol City in November, with Stuckmann taking his place.
The arrival of Johnstone on loan from Manchester United in January saw him slip further out of favour.
Jones is set to make his Rochdale debut against League One leaders Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday
