PNE youngster Earl joins Lancaster City on loan

Preston North End prospect Josh Earl has joined Lancaster City on loan until the end of the season.

The left winger or striker impressed in PNE’s run to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup and heads to Giant Axe for some first-team experience.

Earl will be hoping the help the Dolly Blues win the NPL First Division North title, City currently sitting second on goal difference behind Farsley Celtic with seven games to play.

The teenager is the third Deepdale youngster to have a loan spell at Lancaster this season after Adam Robinson and Dylan Davidson.

Blues boss Phil Brown is the Head of Football at Myerscough College who have a link-up with PNE’s academy.

Earl could make his debut at Radcliffe Borough on Saturday.
