Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill has joined Hartlepool United on loan.
Hugill returned from a 28-day loan spell with Tranmere Rovers earlier in the week and has been sent out straight away in order for him to get more games under his belt.
The 22-year-old is building-up his match fitness after missing a large section of the season due to a knee injury.
He suffered serious cartilage damage in September which required microfracturing surgery.
Hugill joined PNE last July from Port Vale and made six appearances before the injury, scoring two goals.
North End are keen for him to get a run of first-team games so that he is fully fit for next season.
Hugill joins a Pool side who are bottom of League Two but have given themselves a chance of escaping the drop into the Conference.
Three wins on the bounce have lifted them to within a point of Tranmere who are one place above the relegation zone.
