PNE duo in the Republic of Ireland squad

Preston North End pair Sean Maguire and Daryl Horgan have made the final cut for the Republic of Ireland squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Wales.

It is the first time Maguire has made the full squad, having been in a provisional pool for September's internationals.

Signed from Cork City for £130,000 in the summer, Maguire has started nine games for North End and scored twice.

Maguire is one of three uncapped players in the Irish squad, together with Aston Villa front man Scott Hogan and Millwall's Aiden O'Brien.

PNE winger Horgan made his international debut earlier this year against Iceland.

Martin O'Neill's men face Moldova at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Friday night, before taking on Wales in Cardiff next Monday.
