A Chorley school is celebrating a treble success on the football pitch.
St Laurence CE Primary School won the Ollerton Cup, beating Euxton CE 3-2 in the final.
That followed on from them winning the Chorley Primary School League and the Danone Cup.
Winning the Danone Cup qualified them for the Lancashire finals, while the Highfield Road South-based school also finished runners-up in the PNE Cup.
The Ollerton Cup, which has been competed for since the 1950s, saw 32 schools from the Chorley area enter. St Laurence’s run to the final saw them beat Sacred Heart, St Bede’s, Trinity St Michael’s Croston and St Gregory’s.
In the final – played at St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School – William Hopper gave St Laurence’s the lead, before Euxton pulled level.
A second goal from Hopper restored St Laurence’s lead before half-time, with Euxton again equalising in the second half. With six minutes remaining, Daniel Lilly found the corner of the net with a low shot to clinch victory.
