Chorley’s players will have to ignore the mounting speculation linking manager Garry Flitcroft with the vacant role at Blackburn Rovers tomorrow when they travel to Grantham Town in the NPL Premier Division.

The ex-Ewood Park skipper has already indicated that he would love a crack at managing his former club.

And this week, some bookies installed the Magpies boss as their favourite to take over the reins from departed boss Steve Kean.

However, Flitcroft is expected to be in the dug-out – alongside coach and former Rovers striker Matt Jansen – as Chorley look to get their promotion big back on track.

The Magpies thrashed Frickley Athletic 5-1 at Victory Park on Saturday, but they suffered a 1-0 defeat on Tuesday away at Matlock Town

It’s a great chance for Chorley to move up the table as many of their rivals are in FA Trophy action.

Fresh from their historic 1-0 replay win over Ilkeston on Monday in the FA Cup which saw them book a home tie against Accrington Stanley in the first round proper, AFC Fylde are back in cup action tomorrow when they host Nantwich Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

The Coasters, meanwhile, have released ticket details for their match against Stanley, which takes place a week tomorrow at Kellamergh Park

The ground capacity has been confirmed at 2,250 so tickets will be available on a first come first served basis with priority given to season ticket holders.

All seats: £15 (250 available; Adult standing £12, concessions standing £8 (OAPs/disabled/Armed Forces). Children Under-16 standing only £5

Tickets will go on sale at the club shop to season ticket holders on Thursday, October 25, 4.30pm to 7.30pm and Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm and then will go on general sale on Saturday.

In the First Division North tomorrow, Bamber Bridge go in search of their first win in six games when they travel to Ossett Albion.

Clitheroe are at home to Farsley – a team who inflicted their first league defeat of the season a couple of weeks ago – while Lancaster City travel to Mossley.

Burscough are in FA Trophy action at home to Ossett Town.

Kendal Town are without a game this weekend.

In the Conference Premier, Southport are at home to Hereford United.
