James Dean has committed his future to Chorley by signing a new one-year contract.
Dean has signed on the dotted line amid interest from several Conference teams.
The big striker’s form with the Victory Park outfit has been nothing short of superb.
Last season, Dean was Chorley’s top goalscorer with 18 goals in 34 appearances.
Spearheading the Magpies’ front line, Dean played a huge role in Chorley reaching the play-off final in which they were defeated 3-2 by Guiseley.
Speaking about the new contract, secretary and vice-chairman Graham Watkinson, said: “We are delighted that James has committed his future to the club. He loves the club, the fans and the set up.
“He’s a big hit with everybody here and I know everybody is delighted he has signed.
“It’s a pleasure to keep him at the club for another year.”
Meanwhile, the Magpies have all but confirmed their pre-season programme for the up and coming newly-named National League North season.
Chorley will kick-off their pre-season campaign with a home match against Preston North End with the Jack Kirkland Memorial trophy at stake.
Bolton then make the trip to Victory Park on July 15, before Chorley visit Bamber Bridge on July 18. Barrow, who are the reigning champions of the National League North, come to Chorley on July 21.
The Magpies then take on West Lancashire Premier Division side Euxton Villa at the Jim Fowler Memorial Playing Fields on July 25, before welcoming Blackburn Rovers on July 31.
Bosses at the
