In the NPL First Division North, Bamber Bridge were stunned by visitors Droylsden, who ran out 7-1 winners.

Fernando Moke scored a hat-trick for the Bloods, with Kevin Leadbetter, Carlos Meakin, Darren Green and Benjamin Deegan netting the others.

Brig’s lone reply came from Luke Atherton in the 68th minute.

Elsewhere in the division, Lancaster City were comfortable winners, 3-0 at home to Farsley.

Tom Kilfin scored twice in the first half, the opening goal coming from the penalty spot.

Aaron Taylor added a third goal four minutes after the restart.

Mark Beesley (45 and 56) scored twice as Burscough won 2-1 at New Mills.

Daniel Grimshaw had given the High Peak-based side the lead.

Clitheroe lost 2-1 at Ossett Town. Josh Whiteley put the hosts ahead, before Liam Hutchinson (52) levelled matters.

But Town’s winner came in the 90th minute from Chris Ovington.

In the division’s other game involving a local side, Kendal Town drew 0-0 at Northwich Victoria.

In the Conference Premier, Southport were held to a goalless draw at Torquay United.
