AFC Fylde manager Dave Challinor will be hoping to guide his team into the
semi-finals of the Lancashire FA Trophy tonight before heading off to Wembley tomorrow for England’s friendly against Brazil.

The Coasters face Marine at Kellamergh Park this evening, and will be hoping to bounce back after suffering defeat – courtesy of a last-minute goal – to Chorley on Saturday.

Challinor’s total focus will be on gaining a postive result tonight.

But he did concede that he is looking forward to his big night out at Wembley.

The former Tranmere Rovers defender, along with his assistant Colin Woodthorpe, will be at the game tomorrow as guests of the Football Association after winning an award for their behaviour in the technical area during games.

They will be joined at Wembley by Lancaster City management duo Neil Wainwright and Michael Stringfellow, who have also been commended for their behaviour.

Challinor said: “It’s obviously a nice award to win. We are looking forward to going to Wembley tomorrow.

“Discipline is important at our club. It’s difficult with the way things are to keep your discipline.

“Sometimes you can get caught up in the heat of the game because everybody is competitive – everybody wants to win.

“But we made it clear to the players from the moment we came to the club that discipline is massive for us both on and off the pitch.

“So it was only right that we set an example with the same kind of attitude on the sidelines.”

In the NPL Premier Division, Kendal Town are away to FC United of Manchester this evening.
