In the National League North, AFC Fylde’s title hopes suffered a setback after slipping to a 2-1 defeat at relegation-threatened Stalybridge Celtic, Danny Rowe on the mark for the Coasters.

Southport gained a stay of execution in their National League relegation battle when they drew 2-2 at Sutton United.

The home side took the lead with a goal from Kieron Cadogan in the 25th minute .

But Daniel Spence helped Andrai Jones’ header into the net for a 68th-minute equaliser for the Sandgrounders.

Inspired by this, they took the lead when Neil Ashton guided a 20-yard free-kick into the net.
