The Shrimps have thus far recorded wins over Kendal and Bolton as they build up to the League 2 opener at Hartlepool on August 8.

Boss Jim Bentley is relishing the different challenges that a trip to the NPL Premier Division outfit will throw up compared with the victory over Neil Lennon’s Wanderers at the Globe Arena on Friday night.

Bentley said: “We’ve got to get used to all different types of games.

“One season we played five or six Scottish Premiership and Championship teams.

“We spent the majority of the time chasing after the ball but the way we’ve planned it the last couple of years and this year Nantwich and Kendal throw up different problems.

“The pitches aren’t as good as what we’ll play on in League 2 so after dealing well with a good Bolton side it will be different again on Tuesday away at Nantwich.

The game kicks off at 7.30pm with admission £7 for adults, £5 concessions and under 16s £2.
