“We feel really hard done to by coming away with nothing because we limited them to very few opportunities.

“They had a few long-range shots but they didn’t trouble us.

“They didn’t get behind us much and didn’t create many good openings, and I think we had the better chances over the 90 minutes.

“We looked dangerous on the counter-attack and we should have put one of those chances away but we didn’t.

“We know Newport have often scored late goals this season and that is why they are at the top of the table.

“I think the only way they were going to win this game was through a set-piece or a penalty and that is what happened today.

“Newport will be delighted with the three points but we certainly feel hard done to.”
