The Icelandic shot-stopper has joined the club on a seven-day loan ahead of tomorrow’s League Two match with Colchester United.

He already has experience of League Two, having had a loan spell with Exeter City earlier in the season.

The 19-year-old made nine league and cup appearances for Exeter, including a starring role during their 2-2 draw with Morecambe in early November.

Shrimps’ boss Derek Adams was impressed with Andresson’s performance on the night, saying afterwards: “Their goalkeeper was outstanding, what a game he had.

“Exeter were never in the game in the first half, we just took the game to them. We got into so many good areas, into that 18-yard box, and their keeper, what an outstanding game he had. He’s kept them in the match tonight.

“He’s just made a number of really good saves over the night.”
