“They have started the season very well,” Adams said.

“Obviously they haven’t played the last few games because they have been isolating but they have good experience in their team as well as some good young players.

“Nobody knows what they’ve been able to do in that period off. We’ve played a number of games so we’ve got the match legs in us.”

That experience in the Solihull squad contains players who have featured in the Premier League, the EFL, and internationally.

They include former Shrimp Jordan Cranston as well as Darren Carter, Stephen Gleeson, Adam Rooney, former Northern Ireland striker Jamie Ward and Krystian Pearce.

“Krystian has been a very good player and still is a very good professional,” Adams said of the defender, who has played more than 400 games for a number of EFL clubs.

“Adam Rooney has moved a number of times, they have Gleeson and Carter in midfielder, so they have a lot of talented players.”
