The Magpies have a superb recent record in the cup, reaching the first round proper for the past four consecutive seasons.

In 2017 they were beaten by League One outfit Fleetwood Town thanks to a last minute goal a match which was screened live on television - and then the year after they took Doncaster Rovers, also of League One, to a replay after a 2-2 draw in the initial tie at Victory Park.

Last season they were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Mansfield Town at the first-round stage and this year they have once again won through to the first round proper, beating Gateshead and York before receiving a bye in the final qualifying round.

Boss Jamie Vermiglio said it was a great coup that BBC presenter Mark Chapman and the Match of the Day Live team had chosen Victory Park to stage the draw.

"Without having the fans at the ground and coming to the games, you're always looking at ways of raising the profile of the club," said Vermiglio, who is set to put his men through their paces on Monday which will provide the backdrop to the draw.

"I think we have been in the first round proper for four consecutive years now.

"The FA Cup has been great for us over the last few years and without the fans coming in, any little bit of publicity gives the fans a little bit of excitement and is really positive for the club."
