1. Middlesbrough in talks with duo
Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate has confirmed the club are in talks with “one or two” players over contract extensions. A host of players’ deals expire at the end of the month. Many have already signed on, while Daniel Ayala has indicated he won’t. (Hartlepool Mail)

2. Trio to stay with the Owls
Sheffield Wednesday are set to get a loan extension for Connor Wickham, Jacob Murphy and Alessio Da Cruz. All three featured in the draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday and boss Garry Monk has confirmed deals are in place with their parent clubs. (The Star)
