Jansen will not settle as he looks to replace Hine

Hine left the club last month but with no transfer deadlines Jansen has plenty of time left to find the perfect player to fill the void.

He said: “In terms of getting players in I have to be patient and the fans have to be patient too.

“I want to replace Josh but if and when a player of good quality becomes available.

“I’d like a like for like replacement but we have to find the right player for the club. We don’t want to settle.

“Hopefully we will add to the squad.”

Lewis Guy has left the club to try and get more game time but Jansen is focused on getting revenge over AFC Fylde at Victory Park tonight.

The Magpies bossed the reverse fixture at Kellamergh Park on January 2 as they rattled the bar, James Dean missed a penalty and Adam Roscoe had a goal disallowed before Danny Rowe popped up seven minutes from time to snatch a 1-0 victory.

Now Fourth-placed Fylde are 16 points ahead of 13th-placed Chorley in the National League North table but victory could propel Jansen’s men up to ninth.

And after Fylde tried to tempt Chorley midfielder Jake Cottrell away from the Magpies nest last month the local derby has an extra bite.

Jansen said: “There has always been a rivalry between us and Fylde. We should have won at their place.

“It was a disappointing result but we are full of confidence going into the game and we are looking to get some revenge.

“They talked to Jake but he wanted to stay here and he believes in our ambitions. I’m sure he will be pumped up for the game. We are playing on Tuesday and Saturday for the next few weeks but we have a run of winnable games coming up. After Fylde we travel to Gloucester City on Saturday. So hopefully we can pick up points and climb the table.”
