Westley has left Rodney Parade after five months in charge with Newport 11 points adrift of safety at the foot of League Two.

The board of directors met on Wednesday night and decided to dispense with the services of the former Lilywhites boss and his assistant Dino Maamria, who also worked alongside Westley during 13 tumultuous months in charge at Deepdale.

A statement said: “The board of directors would like to place on record its thanks to Graham and Dino for their hard work in challenging circumstances.
