Fixtures released on Wednesday

The Football League publish the fixture list for the 2016/17 campaign on Wednesday morning, with Preston North End looking forward to a big season in the Championship.

North End’s fixtures will be available at 9am on the LEP website.

Games to look out for include a first league meeting with Aston Villa since 1974, Villa having been relegated from the Premier League.

The games against another relegated side, Newcastle United, will be ones PNE supporters will look out for, so too the derby meetings with Blackburn Rovers.

The new season kicks-off on August 6.

Simon Grayson’s squad return to pre-season training on June 30.
