The dark clouds hanging over Bamber Bridge off the pitch appear to have lifted this week.

The club announced at the start of February that it was suffering from a cashflow problem. This was due to the inclement weather over the winter which forced many of the club's home games to be postponed.Without spectators clicking through the turnstiles at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, there was no money going into the NPL First Division North club's coffers. The players were informed at the start of last month that they would have to take a temporary hit in the pay packet until the situation became better.Happily, the weather has relented and Brig have managed to stage their last six home games without any problem.And chairman Frank Doyle revealed the players are now back on full pay. He said: 'The players have been paid half-wages for three weeks and now, because we have had more games on, they are back on full pay.'For the record , the contract players have been paid in full during this time. 'We were struggling financially due to lack of home games being played, but other clubs were in the same position.'While events off the pitch have been far from straight forward, there have been no such problems on it.After a difficult first half of the season, Brig have really hit form since the turn of the year.They have picked up seven wins from their last 10 league games to put themselves in with a shout of making the play-offs for the third successive year.Brig are currently down in 12th position in the table, but are only six points behind fifth-placed Burscough with two games in hand.Intriguingly, Neil Crowe's men welcome the Linnets to Irongate on Tuesday, but before that they face lowly Scarborough Athletic at home tomorrow.Brig were left kicking their heels on Saturday as their away clash against Ossett Town was postponed, but they came out firing on all cylinders in midweek and leapfrogged Brighouse in the table, thanks to an excellent 3-0 victory.Only third-placed Spennymoor Town are above Brig in the form table at the moment and Crowe's men will fancy their chances of making up further ground on the
