Any deal would only take effect from July 1 as his loan at Charlton officially runs until June 30.

Makienok started his career in Denmark with HB Koge before joining Brondby in 2012.

He scored 35 goals for Brondby in two years before a £2m move took him to Palermo in Italy.

But after only one season and a handful of appearances there, the 6ft 7ins front man joined Charlton on loan in August last year.

Makienok scored five goals in 22 starts and 14 substitute appearances for the Addicks.

He has six international caps for Denmark.
