It was City who got off to a flyer when Jordan Keane whipped in a cross from left and Eddy Nelson-Addy let fly. Whilst his initial effort was save by Rhys Taylor, the midfielder swept home the loose ball from point-blank range.

Leading marksman Rowe, who was presented with two awards by the National League ahead of the match including Player of the Year, tried his luck from distance but could only drag his low strike wide.

Fylde found the equaliser in the 22nd minute. David Morgan delivered an inviting ball in from the right and Blinkhorn got ahead of his marker at the near post and swept the ball home.

Ten Rowe stole the ball on the edge of the area before powering a strike past Nathan Vaughan to make it 2-1.

But when Taylor brought down Murphy in the area, full-back Tyler Weir stepped up to level the scores from the spot.

On the hour, Andy Bond expertly volleyed home from close range to put Fylde in front again before Richie
Baker added the fourth.
