Football is all about opinions.
Some right, some wrong and some even irrelevant.
I’ve an opinion and you probably will have after reading this column.
Of course, I work for Chorley FC but I’m just as disappointed as anyone else when we don’t win games.
That was certainly the case against Boston United at the weekend and why we need your support – now more than ever.
It’s not been an ideal start to the season, but let’s be realistic, we’ve only played five fixtures.
We didn’t get to the play-off final last season by fluke; we got there by passion, guts, determination and work ethic. If the lads can show the same attributes over the next few weeks we’ll soon climb up the table.
Back to commercial matters and we’ll be opening our brand new hospitality venue on Saturday – The 1883 Lounge. Your VIP experience begins two hours before kick-off. You and your guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on entry, before sitting down to a two-course meal. There is waitress service with food and drinks to your table throughout the afternoon from our pay for bar which will stock a range of beers, wines and spirits available throughout the day.
Entertainment includes a Q&A with Chorley players, legends and other friends of club.
We hope this offering will be popular with both supporters and businesses.
I’m sure people will see we are heading in the right direction and if all our hospitality areas are maximised it will be a considerable boost to our revenue streams.
The works to the facilities could not have been done without the co-operation of a number of local businesses and labourers who have shared in our vision to expand our corporate offering.
On behalf of everyone at the club – thank you.
The cost is £35 per game or you can book a table of 10 for £300. If you are a season ticket holder, then why not upgrade for £25 on the match of your choice?
If you require anymore information on sponsorship or would like to purchase tickets for the 1883 Lounge email email@example.com – I’d be delighted to hear from you.
