Big crowd predicted for PNE's season opener

Preston North End are expecting a bumper crowd for Saturday's Championship opener against Sheffield Wednesday at Deepdale.

The Owls sold-out their 5,700 allocation in less than three days.

North End's season-ticket sales have gone above the 8,000 mark, the highest for a number of years.

The club are reminding supporters that season tickets go off sale after the first game.

Season-ticket holders who have not yet collected their ticket books are asked to do so in advance of the Sheffield Wednesday game, with the ticket office open until 6pm on Thursday and Friday, and open from 9am on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Invincibles Pavilion ticket office is open from 1pm to buy match day tickets for anywhere in the ground, that in addition to the main ticket office in the Sir Tom Finney Stand.
