Preston boxing promoter Johnney Roye set for major Manchester show in November

Preston boxing promoter Johnney Roye's next major show has been confirmed.

The former world kickboxing champion’s MTK Manchester outfit are behind a packed card at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on Friday, November 9.

Roye has already overseen successful shows at the Guild Hall and at Bolton Wanderers’ University of Bolton Stadium this year.

This time around the card will be topped by Blackpool’s former world title challenger Brian Rose who returns to action having been out of the ring since March 2017.

Preston’s hard-hitting cruiserweight Damian Chambers will also be in action.

The former Larches and Savick ABC man, based in Tameside, has raced to 5-0 as a professional, with his last three victories coming by way of first-round knockout.

Roye-trained Barrow pair Liam Conroy and Mike McGoldrick are also on the bill, as is Manchester’s former world title challenger Jimmy Kelly Jnr.

Top female prospect Savannah Marshall will look to continue her rapid progress in the pro ranks, the former Olympian currently working with Tyson Fury’s uncle and former trainer Peter Fury.
