Peter Fury predicts a knockout finish for Klitschko rematch

Peter Fury has predicted a knockout finish when WBO, WBA Super and IBO world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury makes the first defence of his prestigious belts in the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.

Peter, the uncle and trainer of the world number one, believes the next instalment at the Manchester Arena on July 9th, entitled "Repeat or Revenge", will prove to be a much more explosive affair as the Ukrainian bids to reclaim his titles.

The 40-year-old challenger, who is the second longest reigning heavyweight of all time, was significantly off colour at the ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany, when losing out to a unanimous verdict in November but Fury is fully expecting a vast improvement on that performance.

"He can change, he will change and it'll be a different fight," he said. "That's what we're expecting. Luckily for us I've got a good analysation of what's going to happen. We're working on things with Tyson in the gym to try and negate what's coming.

"There will be something different, it'll be a much faster pace, there'll be more punches thrown and they'll be in range a lot more. It all spells out for a far more exciting fight. I'm happy with that, it's what we want, and hopefully Tyson can get this done in style.

"However, you're only one punch away from disaster in heavyweight boxing so there's no forgone conclusion. It's going to be explosive and there will be a knockout!"

Much has been said about the champions future regardless of whether he retains his crown, with Tyson himself indicating that he may be facing his final fight on British soil as he considers emigrating to America.

But there'll be big fights ahead, no matter which side of the Atlantic he decides to settle. WBC king Deontay Wilder and IBF champion Anthony Joshua are just two of the names in the reckoning.

"Tyson has said a lot hasn't he?," he said. "Look at what he's said in the past and look at where we are today. They are just words and words and action are two different things.

"We've got some fantastic heavyweights coming through. There's Deontay Wilder who is improving with every fight. I said about 18 months ago he's very raw, he needs to take his foot off the gas, don't put him up too high a level.

"He's coming on and he's getting better. He's a good fighter. It would be a terrific fight between him and Tyson if we could get that on. Apart from Klitschko, at the moment, Wilder is the biggest threat out there."

He added: "It's possible (Wilder) but there's Joshua as well. We'll have a look at whichever one steps up to the plate and what's the best deal on the table. We'll have it. Joshua's not ready yet in my eyes.

"He's not on Tyson's level but the British public would love to see that fight. I'm happy to give them the fight because I believe Tyson can beat anybody. There isn't any swerving - I want him to beat the best out there."
