The 24-year-old light-middleweight ace is set to feature on the “Leeds Rumble”, which takes place on Saturday, July 30.

The Yorkshiremen – who is moving ever closer to a world title shot in the featherweight division – will learn the identity of his opponent for his 24th fight on Monday.

Reigning Commonwealth Games champion Fitzgerald is also unaware of who he will be fighting yet, but he will be confident of a fourth victory in the pro ranks since turning over late last year.

The ex-Larches and Savick Amateur Boxing Club star – who is trained by Preston’s Karl Ince – has been mightily impressive in his first three fights.

He has beaten Ben Heap, Robert Studzinski and Gabor Balogh – all by way of stoppage.
