Young thug attacks boy in Preston

An 11-year-old boy was punched in the face by a thug.

The incident happened at around 6.50pm on Friday, 17, April near to the McDonalds at the Capitol Centre, Walton-le-Dale, Preston, when the victim was walking on his own.

Police believe the group of boys aged between 12-18 years old were outside the restaurant when the victim walked by.

The thugs chased the boy from the front of the restaurant before punching him in the face causing minor injuries.

The offender who hit the boy is was described as white, around four foot nine tall of a medium build and thought to be about 12-years-old.

PC Iain Shrager of Preston Police said: “We believe that the incident may have been witnessed by others using the restaurant and I am keen to speak to anyone that may have seen the group of boys in the area around the time of the assault.”
