CONCERNS are growing about a 16 year old girl missing from home in Preston.

Police said Melissa Hughes was last seen at around 7pm on Wednesday, October 29 after leaving her home in Gamull Lane, Ribbleton.

She is described as white, around 5ft tall, of a slim build with blue eyes and short shoulder length blonde hair which has been dyed purple. She was last thought to be wearing dark clothing and trainers.

Officers said she may still be within the Preston area but she is thought to have links to Blackpool and Lancaster.

“We believe that Melissa could be with a friend and I would urge her if she sees this appeal to get in touch with us to let us know that she is safe.

“Anyone who thinks they may have seen Melissa, or who has information about her whereabouts, should get in touch with police on 101 as soon as they can.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference LC-20141029-1073.
