Fitness fanatics pushed themselves to the limit to raise money for a worthy cause.

Around 50 people took part in the annual fitness event to raise money for the Jordan Grant memorial fund in memory of the Cardinal Newman College and former Our Lady’s High School student, who died in 2012, aged 17.

Lisa Grant, Jordan’s mum said: “It is the third year we have held the event at Fulwood Leisure Centre and there was a really good turnout.

“Everyone who attended could choose three classes to do out of spinning, metafit, zumba and circuits and each one lasted around 40 minutes.

“The money raised will go towards holding screenings in Preston.”

The event raised £314 for C.R.Y (cardiac risk in the young) with sponsor money still being donated.
