Warm spell on the way to end the week: Here's your day by day forecast

Met Office forecaster Bonnie Diamond said the hot weather will be part of a "warm spell across the UK".

Ms Diamond said there will be a "mixed" spell of weather at the start of the week.

TUESDAY

A cloudy start changing to light rain by lunchtime. A high temperature of 18 degrees.

WEDNESDAY

Light rain changing to leave an overcast day by lunchtime. A high temperature of 18 degrees.

THURSDAY

Another cloudy start, but changing to a sunny day by early evening, and with a high temperature of 23 degrees.

Getting much warmer, Friday will bring a dry day with plenty of sunny intervals, and a high of 25 degrees.

SATURDAY

A mostly sunny day with the odd spot of light cloud in the morning. Expect temperatues of around 22 degrees.

SUNDAY

A sunny start will give way to a little cloud in the afternoon, and a high temperature of 23 degrees
