Preston weather forecast: More wind and rain expected today following yellow weather warning for ice and snow

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice issued by the Met Office has been in place since 3pm yesterday.

The warning which is in place until 11.59pm on Tuesday (11 Feb), covers Cheshire East, Cumbria, Greater Manchester as well as parts of Lancashire, including, Preston, Burnley, Blackburn and Darwen.

While snow seems unlikely for Preston today, the city has continued to experience strong winds following Storm Ciara at the weekend.
