Following last night's thunder and lightning across Lancashire, more thunderstorms are forecast for later today and into the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The extreme weather conditions and heavy rain caused widespread flooding across Lancashire this morning, with roads in Thornton, Kirkham, Thistleton, Freckleton and Lancaster closed.

A yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office for thunderstorms is in place until Thursday.
