VIPs introduced to boost Valley footfall

A troupe of VIPs - visitor information points - are being introduced across Ribble Valley.

The borough council and Ribble Valley Tourism Association are establishing 20 VIPs at key locations in the area which will contain a raft of useful information. The first VIP has opened at St John’s Church, Hurst Green, where visitors can obtaining information, use an eco-loo and make a cup of tea.

Council tourism officer Tom Pridmore said: “The idea behind VIPs is to give visitors to Ribble Valley a friendly and informative welcome, as well as boost footfall to facilities.”
