A new website has been launched to give help and support for armed forces veterans and their families.
Its aim is to give advice and information about relevant services, and it was officially launched by the leader of Lancashire County Council, Jennifer Mein, and other representatives, at County Hall in Preston.
Coun Mein said: “Lancashire is a significant recruiting area for the armed forces and we have a large number of troops based here.
“Once they’ve finished their time in the forces, it’s important that we help them to make the move back into civilian life.
“We want to make sure that they’ve got access to the right information and they can find the help they need, when they need it.”
County Coun Darren Clifford, who served in the army for 14 years, said: “There are times when people want help, but don’t know where to go for it. This website aims to help to point them in the right direction.”
