A teenage cyclist is in a serious condition after colliding with a car.
A 17-year-old boy, from Preston is still receiving treatment at the Royal Preston Hospital after he was thrown from his bike by a car on Cadley Causeway in Fulwood at around 9.15pm on Friday.
Lancashire police believe the boy unintentionally cycled into the path of an on-coming Volkswagon Sharon vehicle because his view was obscured by parked cars as he entered the road.
He suffered serious injuries to his head, arms and legs and now police are appealing for witnesses.
PC Howard Cooke from Preston Road Policing Unit said: “This boy was seriously injured after being catapulted on to a parked car as a result of being hit.
“I am asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information about it at all to get in contact.”
