A 16-year-old boy who was arrested during a police investigation into the stabbing of a teenager in Preston city centre has been released on bail.
The teenager from Preston was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of Section 18 wounding but he has now been bailed until March 10 pending further investigation.
He was one of six people aged between 13 and 25 arrested after the stabbing incident near the Black Horse pub in Orchard Street/Friargate on Monday.
Four others have now also been released on bail pending further enquiries whilst a 17-year-old boy charged with Section 18 wounding and possession of a knife appeared before Preston Youth Court yesterday.
Police were called around 5pm on Monday to reports of a fight behind the Black Horse during which an 18-year-old was stabbed.
He remains in a serious but stable condition in the Royal Preston Hospital where he was taken with a single stab wound to his stomach.
