A major bus route between the city centre and the north of Preston that was closed due to flooding has re-opened.
Lancashire police closed Black Bull Lane in Preston earlier this morning due to surface water issues.
The road was closed for just over four hours but police confirmed the road was fully re-opened at 3.30pm.
A police spokesman said: “There was flooding on the road opposite Queen’s Drive Primary School in Preston.
“We were called to the scene at 11.10am because cars started to struggle to get through the water.”
Preston police also confirmed that Guildway near Marsh Lane, Skeffington Road near Mainland Street, Lea Road near Blackpool Road and Sir Tom Finney Way near PNE’s Deepdale Stadium are also affected by surface water issues.
A police spokesman added: “Please drive carefully today and plan accordingly.”
Preston Bus diverted services 23, 88A and 88C via Lytham Road and Garstang Road.
But they revealed the diversions are no longer in place.ys.
A spokesman said: “Black Bull Lane in Preston was closed at Fulwood Leisure Centre due to a flood.
“The road has re-opened as services 23, 88A and 88C are back to normal.
“Expect possible delays still in areas of surface water.
“Take care if you are out this evening.”
