A busy main road closed due to flooding is expected to reopen shortly.
Euxton Lane, in Euxton, was shut earlier today between the Bay Horse pub and Buckshaw Village after flooding near the railway bridge.
Traffic has been diverted away from the road during the day and the water was cleared away.
Euxton Lane is expected to reopen within an hour.
The problem was first reported to Lancashire County Council at 2.30am and they contacted Network Rail about it.
Network Rail sent engineers to the site and a spokesman said the problem had been caused by the power tripping at a pumping station.
They have switched it back on and are investigating what caused it.
