An elderly woman who died after falling on a bus in Preston has been named by police.
Edna White, 85, from Fulwood, had been travelling on a double-decker bus along Sharoe Green Lane on Wednesday June, 3, when the bus stopped to give way at a zebra crossing near Booths.
It is thought the woman got up out of her seat but, when the bus set off again, she fell backwards and hit her head on a step at the back of the bus.
She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital, but police said she died during the early hours on Thursday, June, 11.
Lancashire police said her family do not wish to release a photograph or a tribute.
