Protestors line streets of Lancaster in solidarity with Black Lives Matter movement
Hundreds of people attended the protest in Lancaster on Wednesday in a show of support against racism and police brutality.

The event was organised by Stand Up To Racism Lancaster and Morecambe, who said that "it is as important as ever that we show in numbers that we oppose racism and will fight for real change in our society."Many people who attended brought banners, and lined the streets in St George's Quay, Dalton Square and Cable Street.
At 6pm, attendees "took the knee" for 8 minutes and 46 seconds - the amount of time Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd's neck before he died.
The incident has been a catalyst for thousands of protests across the world over recent weeks, with several having already taken place in Lancaster.Photos and video by Kelvin Stuttard.
