Two motorists were taken to hospital after a two-car crash on the A6 near Chorley.

One of the drivers, who both suffered neck injuries, is believed to be from Samlesbury, near Preston.

The accident happened close to the Cherry Tree pub, Blackrod, when a Toyota Yaris and a Bentley Continental collided just before 5pm on Tuesday.

Firefighters from Horwich attended and the road was partially closed, causing rush-hour traffic chaos in the surounding area.
